General Rules VCOM Host Rulings
Any rule may be changed by the tournament organizers on or before the night.
All rulings by the official VCOM tournament organizers are final.
Language Rules Discriminatory language ofn any form is not tolerated. A violation of this rule can result in disqualification.
Simple trash talk is tolerable since it has always been part of competitive activities. Keeping it to a minimum is however, advised.
Break Rules Every team has the right to take a 10-15 minute break between the semi-finals and final games of the tournament.
Teams that take unofficial breaks will be judged depending on the situation. If an organiser determines them to be wasting time they will be disqualified.
Pausing Rules Each team can pause once in game for a total of 5 minutes. Other players are not allowed to unpause until they are sure that that everyone has returned. Any player who has paused for longer than this period, without the permission of the other team, will be asked to unpause or an admin win will be granted to the other team.
Teams which repeatedly unpause before the 5 minutes is up will cause an admin win to be granted to the other team.
A pause will be allowed to exceed 5 minutes if the team is communicating with a tournament organizer.
Dropping and Lag Rules If a player disconnects, the game will be restored. That is to say, the saved game will be restored and completed.
If the same player constantly disconnects, their team will forfeit and the other team will progress to the next round.
If a player is causing unplayable lag and can clearly be proven as the sole cause of the lag then that player may be disqualified. If this occurs before the elimination stage, the penalised team may be allowed to find a substitute player.

Ok. How do I sign up if I don't know what time it is? 8gmt vs 16 gmt makes a massive difference as to whether I can play or not.
Depending on the number of signups, each team is expected to play roughly 4 or 5 qualifying matches. The time slot is currently not a problem as we plan to keep a wider spectrum of 15 to 16 hours each day. We will schedule the matches as per mutual convenience.

They are not considering it as a One Night Event, eventhough it basically qualifies as it, so they are not giving strict starting/ending times, albeit having one generally is more than helpful.
The tournament runs for 3 days and starts on the 5th of January and runs until the 7 tbh of January. Ie. Friday to Sunday. The time is difficult to work out until we have a better idea of sign ups.
It's a 2v2 tournament. You will need to get a partner to play with. Once you have one, update this thread with the profile of both the players (you and your ally). Also double check with your ally to ensure his availability and willingness to team with you before you register the team.
